I have wanted to make these Beehive Cupcakes for so long and I finally got the chance when I was asked to make some cupcakes for a friend's baby shower. These are the perfect cupcakes for when the gender of the baby is a surprise because they go great with a 'what will it bee?' theme, are gender neutral, and are cute as a bug! Yeah, I had to say it. These cupcakes were natural strawberry flavoured but of course would be very fitting as honey or honeycomb flavoured too. They had yellow vanilla icing swirled to resemble a hive and were finished off with little fondant bees.
